Take part in dead ideas day

Hello 👋,

This is the official application form to participate in the exhibition of the advertising festival “Dead Ideas Day.”

In the form, you will find the basic information we need from you to register — your name and contact details, what you do, and the projects you are applying with.

The festival will take place:

🎃 October 31, 2026 (Halloween)
⌚ from 13:00 to 20:00
⛪ in Sofia, Bulgaria

As part of the exhibition, you may present ideas you have developed but that, for one reason or another, never became reality (for example, you pitched them to clients or partners and they were rejected, or you didn’t have the necessary budget, etc.). This is their chance to return from the “graveyard” and live a second life. For you, it’s an opportunity to find new collaborators or brands to work with.

❗ The participation fee for freelancers and agencies/in-house teams is €26.66 (52.14 BGN), excluding VAT.

❗ Exhibition spots are limited. We will provide space for:
• 13 freelancers
• 13 agencies/in-house teams

So be sure to sign up early.

With the participation fee, each freelancer, agency, or in-house team may exhibit up to 5 projects.

❌💸 You may also participate for free. In this case, you may exhibit only one project, and it must be socially oriented, contribute to making Bulgaria a better place to live, and must not have been developed for a brand. (If you pay the participation fee, you may also include social projects among the five paid entries.)

❗ We will not accept projects that disclose confidential information, infringe on intellectual property rights, contain pornographic material, promote violence or discrimination, or involve any illegal or unethical actions against minority groups, or otherwise violate the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria.

We also do not accept projects for brands in the betting/gambling industry or those offering tobacco products (including e-cigarettes, heated tobacco products, vapes, etc.).

By submitting your application, you declare that your projects do not fall into any of the above categories. As a participant, you are fully responsible for ensuring that sharing your projects does not violate contractual obligations to your clients or employer, including confidentiality clauses, copyright, or other intellectual property rights. As organizers, we are not responsible for any such violations.

We recommend reviewing your contracts with clients or your employer (for example, whether they cover rights over everything created for them, including unrealized concepts, or include restrictions on sharing or confidentiality clauses) to ensure that presenting your projects does not affect their rights or interests.

❗ Please present your projects without mentioning specific brand names. Replace the brand with the product category instead. For example, say “chocolate,” “laundry detergent,” or “goat cheese.” A strong idea will stand out even without naming the brand.

Additionally, please note that to exhibit your projects, they must meet certain technical requirements (size, format, etc.), which we will provide separately.

After submitting your application, a representative will contact you to discuss the details.
